"I can do it alone!!! " and assorted BS I tell myself

I submitted a broken file to a jam because I am too proud to beg for testers.

Ughhh.  I was proud of making it in time too!  Now I work saturdays,  so I only had Sundays to write properly,  and this was supposed to be my success story,  the thing that would show me I can still write games even if I have less time.

I am not as much "sad" as I am grumpy.

The lesson learned : swallow my pride and ask for beta readers.

More like, be willing to have it tested and see it broken. So that you can polish.

Absolutely.  Polish is one of my (many) weaknesses. I just want things to be done, you know? But that is not the game dev way!!

Yes, it's like submitting a homework just to get it done but you got solutions wrong. LOL. Anyway, I'm not a dev myself but maybe you might want to try to keep some prototypes that has been working on for some time and then you can use that for game submission. As long as it's patched enough to work, you can polish it some more after the jam.

Hola!

Gracias a vos!

I know this is suuuuper late, but if you ever need a beta tester, I'd be happy to help!

Really?  My friends aren't into gaming and I never know how/when/who to ask for help, plus my stuff is always freeware so I can't pay you anything.

I do have a project in the works... But it's far from finished.  Can I contact you when I have a little more done ?

of course you dont need to pay me! :p in all of the beta testing I've done it's been for free, because I was passionate about the project/creator. I'll pop you an email about how I usually beta test and we can exchange expectations. :>

Yup feel free to tell me whenever you need help--no rush ovo
